Last night we had several of the couples from our birth class (and their babies) over for a potluck dinner on the deck. Greg and I have really had fun going through this experience with other people. Sharing in all these stages right alongside these other couples -- the pregnancy, the birth and now these first weeks -- has been really enriching and bolstering.
It was really nice to get everyone together in a group last night. We sat out under the trees, talking about everything from first smiles to poop color. The end of the evening culminated in the following scene. (Veronica is the one swaddled in the striped blanket, alongside her friends Ellie, Ezra and Benjamin.)
